Punxsutawney Phil may have predicted six more weeks of winter but I know Spring is on the way when the Silver Maple in my yard flashes her rich red blossoms. Soon these waxy green periwinkle leaves will frame delicate blue flowers and the clover will bloom.
Lately I've been itching to pick up my big girl camera again, and the beauty of these maple blossoms begged me to take a closer look.
“Never lose an opportunity for seeing something beautiful for beauty is God's handwriting.”
-Ralph Waldo Emerson
So, I dug out my macro lens and spent some time contemplating the details of these lovely harbingers of spring that I've enjoyed the past eighteen years. May they warm your spirit as they did mine. Peace and blessings.
